Two sent on judicial remand in UK national`s murder case

LAHORE: A judicial magistrate on Thursday sent two suspects in the murder case of a BritishBelgian woman of Pakistani origin to jail on judicial remand for their idendñcadonparade.
The Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) produced the suspects Zahir Jadoon and Muhammad Waseem before the magistrate. The investigating of ficer requested the magistrate to shif t the suspects to jail on judicial remand for their identification.
The magistrate allowed the request and directed the IO to conclude the idendñcadon parade as early as possible.
Mahira Zulfiqar, 25, wasfoundshotdeadather rented house in Defenceon May 3. She had arrived from the UK, where her f amily is settled, some two months back and shared the upper portion of the rented house with a f riend.
The police had nominated Jadoon, Saad Ameer Butt and Waseem, friends of Mahira, in the first information report. Butt had surrendered himself to the police and joined the investigation.
SHAHBAZ GILL: A sessions court on Thursday allowed Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Political Communication Shahbaz Gill permanent exemption from personal appearance to in a defamation complaint against him filed by a Turkish company.
The court allowed an application of Mr Gill andapproved appointment of a lawyer for him to attend future hearings of the complaint. The court adjourned further hearing till June 17.
M/s Platform Turizm Tasimacilik, a subsidiary of Al-Bayrak Group of companies, had sought action against the SAPM under sections of Pakistan Penal Code for levehng f alse allegations against it.
Later, the Islampura police had registered the case on a complaint of Gill against the officials of the Turkish company pursuing the defamation proceedings against him. Tahir Mobeen and two Turkish citizens Cemil Senocak and Yemen Yemenoglu were granted bail in the case.-Staff Reporter
