Provincial leadership of the PML-N did not come to the rescue of the former vice president and he had to leave.

Talking to Dawn, former vice president Raja Jahandad Khan accused his own party`s local MNA Malik Abrar Ahmed of hatching a conspiracy against him.

He alleged that MNA Malil< Abrar and his brother Malik Iftikhar were running illegal housing society and commercial plazas.

`When I brought his corruption to the surface he turned against me and started inciting members against me and managed to gather all of them on his side.

`As vice president, I managed to obtain development funds from federal government,` he said.

`I will never surrender and will expose all the corruption of the MNA after Eidul Fitr. I will remain member of the cantonment board and will work for the betterment of the residents of my constituency, he said.

On the other hand, MNA Malik Abrar was of the view that the elected mem-bers were working on their own will and they would not work on the dictation of others.

`The ouster of vice president is made as per the democratic norms and it showed democracy getting stronger in the civic bodies,` he said.

He refused to comment on the allegations of Raja Jahandad Khan and said it was time to work for the betterment and welfare of the residents of the cantonment instead of being involved in blame games.

After the no-confidence motion session, former vice president and elected member of RCB Hafiz Hussain Ahmed told Dawn that the party would start the process to find new vice president.

At present names of Zafar Iqbal and Hafiz Hussain Ahmed are in circulation for new vice president.
