KARACHI: The thick grey monsoon clouds overcasting the Karachi skies burst forth in torrential rains driving almost half of the tattered tent dwellers into the streets on Thursday [July 27]. Disturbed by heavy downpours, over 40 processions of refugees drenched in rain pounded the city`s streets from 1 a.m. till late ... evening.

They demanded food and shelter. The chain ... started with a midnight procession from Golimar which wended its way along Garden Road, Elphinstone Street and Bonus Road to Prime Minister`s House on Victoria Road.
