FAISALABAD: The Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (Fesco) has severed 62 connections of eight government departments that are defaulter of millions of rupees.

Fesco Deputy Director Tahir Sheilch said on Thursday district officer roads office was defaulter of Rs63 million, chief officer streetlights of Rs21m, chief of ficer municipal corporation Rs0.7m, excise and taxation department Rs300,000, district officer complex Rs100,000, parks and horticulture authority Rs180,000, TMA Jinnah Town Rs100,000 and Jaranwala police station Rs20,000.

Mr Sheikh said the departments were asked to clear dues a number of times.

The connection of the departments would not be restored till the clearance of the default amount.-Staff Correspondent
