ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) removed 14 illegally installed suction pumps at various houses in G-6, as part of its operation against illegal water, electricity and gas connections and illegal section motorsinstalledonwatersupply lines in government accommodation.
A CDA inspection team visited 166 government houses and removed the motors. According to an of ficial statement, teams consisting of CDA, Sui Gas and Islamabad Electric Supply Company (Iesco) employees are conducting an operation against illegal connections and motors.
The statement said that as part of the initial stage of the operation, people who observed teams removing and confiscating illegal motors have started removing such motors from their homes themselves.
The operation began following directives from the Islamabad High Court, and a team consisting of the enforcement, sanitation and water supply directorates was constituted by CDA Member Administration Yasir Pirzada in this regard.
The CDA statement said the authority will seek to coordinate with police contingents from the concerned station and the district administration`s magistrate to ensure that the high court`s directions are implemented and the operation is a success.
