LAHORE: Robbers deprived citizens of cash and valuables worth around Rs2.3 million in three major strikes on Monday.

Four robbers barged in the house of Shahzad in E-Block of Johar Town and took away cash and valuables all worth Rs900,000.

Three robbers entered Nadeem`s house in DHA`s Q-Block in Defence B police limits and escaped after looting cash and valuables, all worth Rs845,000.

Four robbers, including a woman approached Ahsaanul Haq and his aunt near FC College in Gulberg police remit and deprived them of cash and jewelleryworth Rs550,000.

The suspects who carried a wireless and some weapons started chasing the victims from the city airport.

MURDERED: A security guardofarealestateagency allegedly gunned down a youth following a quarrel near Jhulke stop in Kahna on Monday.

According to Kahna police, 24-year-old Ali Waqas was shot by Asif who nursed grudge against the victim.

Police said Waqas had complained to the suspect`s employer about Asif`s conduct, asking him to sack the guard.

Waqas and Asif had an argument over some petty issue a couple of days back, the police said, adding the suspecthadbeen takeninto custody.
