LAHORE: A six-year-old girl died under mysterious circumstances in Iqbal Town on Tuesday.

Police lodged a murder case against her father Khurram and stepmother Amaria and sent the body to morgue for autopsy.

Alishbah lived with her father and stepmother after her mother Khadija and her father got a divorce. In her complaint, Khadija alleged that her daughter had been strangled by Khurram and Amaria.

Police arrested the couple who denied the allegations, saying the girl had died of a disease.

KILLED: A man allegedly shot dead his father and stepmother over a property issue in Makkah Colony on Tuesday.

Naseerabad police lodged a case against suspect Inamur Rahman who fled from the scene soon af ter the murder.

Quoting witnesses, police said the youth had an argument with his father Khalid Mahmood who refused to give the son his share in the property, and later shot at him. He also opened fire on his stepmother Hafsa who stepped up to save her husband.
