KARACHI: Indian film actress and producer Pooja Bhatt arrived here on Thursday evening.

Though she has been to Pakistan on a few occasions before, this time round her arrival holds significance against the backdrop of the heightened border tensions between Pakistan and India.

Ms Bhatt, the daughter of eminent filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt, who is a long-standing campaigner for IndiaPakistan peace, is on a private visit. Sources say that she might take part in a style award show and a fashionrelated event. Ms Bhatt will be in the city for a week.

Ms Bhatt has had leading roles in commercially successful and critically acclaimed films such as Dil Hai Ke Manta Nahin and Daddy. These days she produces films. The last film that she produced was Cabaret.
