PESH AWAR: All Pakistan Customs Agents Association vice chairman Ziaul Haq Sarhadi was elected senior vice president of the PakistanAfghanistan Joint Chamber of Commerce and Industry unopposed here on Thursday.

The elections were held in the general body`s meeting at the PAJCCI head office.

Also, Mohammad Zubair Motiwala was unanimously elected the PAJCCI president, Abdul Qayyum Kakar vice president, and Imtiaz Ahmad Ali, JunaldIsmailMukda,NiazMohammad and Javed Alchtar Bhatti directors.

Mr. Sarhadi, who is also president of the Frontier Customs Agents Group and vice chairman of the FPCCI standing committee on customs` agents, has 40 years experience in customs clearing and forwarding, import and export, and Afghan transit trade.

According to a statement issued here, he thanked members of the joint chamber for his election and said he would make efforts to come up to the expectations of the business community.
