Child labour

2017-10-28
I RECENTLY saw a child working on a rickshaw. He was almost seven years old.

He was out of school and doing this to earn bread and butter for his family.

We can find many such children who work from dawn to dusk to fulfill the wishes of their f amilies.

Despite having elder brothers and parents, the children below the age of 15 work in garages, workshops, etc. The basic right of these children such as education is being snatched by f amily members because of the indifference of state and society.

Child labour is one of the reasons for thelow literacy rate in Pakistan.

I urge the families of these children not to send them to work, while the government should take steps to tackle thisissue.
