RAWALPINDI: SNGPL on Friday started work on replacing rusty gas supply lines at the cost of Rs100 million.
Prime Minister Shahid Khagan Abbasi`s coordinator for development projects in Rawalpindi district, Hafiz Abbasi inaugurated the work at Banni Chowk. Former MNA Malik Shakil Awan, Mayor Sardar Nasim, former MNA Mohammad Hanif Abbasi, former MPA Zia Ullah Shah, MPs Zaibun Nisa Awan, Tehsin Fawad and Lubna Rehan Pirzada were also present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Hafiz Usman, said there will be no gas loadshedding from Dec 2017 onwards and that all children will be able to go to school after having breakfast at home.
`Citizens will not lodge complaints or protest on this issue in future,` he said, adding the government has been giving gas to the industrial sector and that vehicle owners and transporters are also getting gas at CNG stations without any hurdle. A Reporter
