LAHORE: The Counter Terrorism Department claim to have foiled a terrorist plan by arresting two members of banned Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).

According to a CTD spokesperson, the arrests came during an intelligence-based operation carried out on Friday evening.

The CTD arrested Saeed Akbar and Mohammad Wazir of the TTP (Jamatul Ahrar group) from China Scheme of Gujarpura and recovered hand grenades and explosives from them.

The spokesperson claimed they were preparing to launch a terrorist attack in Lahore in coming days.
