TOBA TEK SINGH: A heavy police contingent led by Faisalabad CPO Kamran Adil controlled the situation in Lathianwala (Khurrianwala) onSunday night after tension rose between the Ahmadiyya and Muslim communities as a result of conversion of an Ahmadiyya girl to Islam and her marriage with a Muslim youth.

Police spokesperson told media that five broth-ers of the girl injured a cousin of the groom.

After the issue went public, a Muslims mob gathered in the locality but police timely controlled the situation.

He said force had been deployed in the town to control the situation.
