TCKP organises rafting activity for youths

PESHAWAR: Youth took part in a rafting activity in Kabul River organised for the first time by the Tourism Corporation Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (TCKP) in Nowshera on Sunday.

In a press release issued here, the TCKP said the activity was exclusively held for the young girls to promote adventure tourism among youth, especially girls, who hardly found any opportunity to take part in such recreational activities.

The TCKP organised the activity between Jehangira and Khairabad (Attock).

The TCKP officials were also there to facilitate the activity. Earlier, events like paragliding and safari train tours were also organised for the local tourists.

The girls participants of the rafting activity said they enjoyed the adventurous sport and would like to take part in it again as the activity is planned in December 100.

The TCKP has planned a number of activities for promotion of culture, tourism, especially religious tourism in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Recently Sikh Yatrees visited Peshawar, and earlier monks from Korea and Sri Lanka had also visited the province`s rich historical places.-Bureau Report
