B A H AW A L P U R : Gaggo police in Vehari district claim to have killed two robbers in an encounter near Chowk Shah Junaid on Wednesday.

According to police, Tariq Azeem and Munir were arrested on Tuesday when they shot at Naveed and also opened firing on escorting police party.

He said after arrest, theywere taken for recovery on Wednesday.

He claimed on way back the police party was attacked by four accomplices of Tariq and Munir in a bid to get them released from custody.

During a shootout, both suffered serious injuries and were being shifted to hospital when they died.

Police have registered a case. Correspondent
