By Our Staff Reporter 2024-12-28
LAHORE: The Punjab Land Records Authority (PLRA) has made changes to its Central Land Records Management and Information System software so as to prevent delays in mutations and registration (registry) of land.

The changes, according to PLRA Director General Ikram Haq, were made after many cases involving mutations and registrations were delayed on the part of revenue officers and sub-registrars in the form of not making timely decisions, even after completing biometric verification and recording statements.

This led to increase of pending cases and caused inconvenience to the general public.

With the new software updates, the revenue officers and sub-registrars will be required to make a decision on each case within three days after completing necessary verifications. This will ensure that mutations and registrations are processed without undue delay.
