KARACHI: Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori has praised the Saylani Welfare International Trust (SWIT) for conducting a mass-level IT training initiative to brighten the future of thousands of students from lowand middle-income groups.

He said this while witnessing a hackathon titled `Coding Night`, organised by the SWIT at its newly built Zaitoon Ashraf IT Park, where over 700 graduates of the Mass IT Training Programme took a nightlong test of their computer programming skills.

According to a press release, the gov-ernor appreciated that graduates of the IT learning programme had acquired the qualification to earn US dollars through freelancing work for foreign clients.

He said the students acquiring the latest IT skills were a source of pride for their families and the country.

Speaking on the occasion, SWIT chairman and founder Maulana Bashir Farooq Qadri said the trust had rolled out its IT learning programme with the objective that about 10 million students acquired the latest computer skills in Pakistan by 2035. -Dawn Report
