JHELUM: Sardar Mohammad Ibrahim Khan, President of the Azad Kashmir Government, declared today [Feb 27] that the people of the Jammu and Kashmir State, were prepared to stake their all for the state`s accession to Pakistan. He reiterated that the Muslims of the State will have no place in [it] if it was handed over to India.

Sardar Ibrahim, who was addressing a huge meeting of Kashmir refugees ... appreciated the hardships ... borne by them for the sake of Islam. He said: `We have been forced to leave our hearths and homes. Our women and children have been butchered ...

and because we wished to join hands with our Muslim brethren in Pakistan we have been rendered homeless... . In view of this and the ... fact that the Muslims of Jammu and Kashmir, and those of Pakistan, are one entity, we shall never accept the decision of any authority if our State [is] forced to become a part of the Indian Dominion.
