LAHORE: Commerce Minister Khurram Dastgir Khan on Monday said the new trade policy would focus on research and standardized product as Pakistan needed much more to compete with the global market.
He said the Pakistan auto sector had ample space to grow and the newlyannounced auto policy would not only promote the local industry but also enhance exports.
The minister was speaking at a seminar `Pakistan Auto Sector and Challenges` at LUMS under the aegis of Law School.
Mr Khan said the government would provide certain benefits to the industrialists and traders to enhance exports, adding the new trade policy was aimed at removing flaws which led to decreasing exports and causing trade deficit.
