SAHIWAL: A man committed suicide after slaying his wife over some domestic dispute at Asadullahpur village, Pakpattan tehsil, on Wednesday night.

Reports said Shaukat Ali slaughtered his wife Fauzia Bibi with a dagger and later stabbed himself.

Rescue 1122 said Fauzia Bibi died at the spot while critically injured Shaukat succumbed to his wounds onway to Pakpattan DHQ Hospital.

District Police Officer Tariq Walayat said police did forensic analysis of the crime scene and shifted the bodies to DHQ hospital. Neighbours told police that the couple married 16 years back have six children.

Chak Badian police investigation revealed that there was some financial dispute between Shaukat and Fauzia. Correspondent
