UMERKOT: Ten members of a family fell seriously ill after consuming contaminated food in Shahi Khan Rind village, in Kunri taluka, on Friday.

Family sources suspected some poisonous insect or house lizard might have fallen into the food and made it poisonous. The victims, including women and children, started vomiting and falling unconscious after eating the food and were rushed to Kunri taluka hospital for treatment, they said.

Doctors confirmed that all the patients were out of danger and receiving proper medical treatment.
