Bilawal visits heirs of slain trader, policeman

LARKANA: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari on Friday visited the family of a slain trader, Santosh Kumar, in Naudero and the heirs of a martyred policeman, ASI Ramzan Bhutto, in Gharibabad locality, on Friday to offer his condolences.
According to party sources, Kumar`s family told Bilawal that suspected killers of their beloved were shot dead by police in an encounter a few weeks after his murder.
Jamil Soomro, the political secretary to the PPP chairman, MNA Ramesh Lal, Larkana District Council Chairman Aijaz Leghari and MPA Suhail Anwer Siyal accompanied the party chairman in the visit.
Bilawal also proceeded to Gharibabad locality to offer his condolences to the heirs of ASI Ramzan Bhutto, who was martyred in an encounter with dacoits in Madeji town of Shikarpur district.
He shared his grief with the mother, brother and children of the deceased policeman.
Former MNA Apa Naseeban Channa, besides the Larkana DIG and SSP, accompanied Bilawal duringhis visit to the bereaved family`s residence.
Briefing on party`s Sindh-wide protest PPP`s Sindh Information Secretary Aajiz Dhamrah called on Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari at Naudero House on Friday and briefed him about the party`s recent Sindhwide protest against federal government`s new canals project.
Sukkur PPP`s youth wing president Ayaz Abro also called on the party chairman and discussed with him political situation in Sukkur.
Also on Friday, Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari attended an Iftar reception hosted for him at Ghaibidero House, in Qambar town, by MPA Sardar Khan Chandio, the chieftain of his tribe.
PPP Sindh president Nisar Ahmed Khuhro, MPA Burhan Khan Chandio and other leaders welcomed the party chairman along with Qambar-Shahdadkot district council chairman and the party`s district president Qamaruddin Gopang.
Prominent among those who attended the reception were Aijaz Jakhrani, Nazeer Bughio, Rafique Jamali, Fayyaz Butt, Ramesh Lal, Jamil Soomro, Hizbullah Bughio, Punhal Soomro, Ahmed Faroogi and other senior party leaders, activists and notables of the area.
