BAHAWALNAGAR: Saddar police on Friday arrested two of three accused who gang-raped a pregnant woman after taking her minor children hostage at gunpoint.

The accused also recorded the act and kept her raping for weeks even after her childbirth.

The FIR said a mother of three from Musa Bhata village wasraped in front of her minor children by three men who broke into her house on the night of Dec 27 last. The accused pointed a pistol at her children and gang-raped her while she was eight-month pregnant.

The accused recorded the act to force her to remain silent. It went on to say when the woman returned home on March 14, after giving birth to a baby girl on Feb 11, the accused gang-raped her by showing the videos.The woman informed her husband and the neighbourhood about the entire situation.

According to the FIR, some locals tried to convince her not to go for their arrest but she submitted a written complaint with the police on March 27.

Police booked the trio under sections 292 and 375A of PPC.

A police spokesperson told Dawn that the police had arrested two of three suspects and investigation was ongoing.
