THE young doctors in Sargodha have been on strike for more than three days when an MNA tortured one of them. As yet no action has been taken by the authorities concerned to address the situation.
Two infants have died owing to the doctors` strike. According to hospital sources, senior doctors and paramedical staff were pre-occupied with other health emergencies, and could not attend to the nursery ward, which resulted in the death of two infants.
The government must look into the matter seriously, or else the present situation will lead to more deaths if the strike continues.
