ISLAMABAD: Burglars and thieves struck at eight places across the capital and made off with cash and valuables, the police said on Thursday.

The house of Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar in I-10/2 was broken into with the burglars making away with cash and gold ornaments worth Rs300,000.

In a separate incident,burglars broke into the house of Tariq Mustafa in I-10/4 and stole cash, gold ornaments and valuables worth Rs60,000.

Thieves also took away with cash, gold ornaments and valuables worth Rs250,000 from the house of Mohammad Bashir in Barna Town.

Burglars also broke into the house of Sajid Ikram in I-10/1 was broken into with the thieves making away with Rs45,000.

Farrukh Abbas, a resident of I-11/4 was drugged and his valuables stolen and his employers pick-up truck worth Rs800,000 was also stolen.

Elsewhere, a motorcycle belonging to Fazal Hadi and worth Rs30,000 was stolen from a parking area of a plaza in D-13/4. Staff Reporter
