Ajoka to stage Lawrence in Lahore on May 9

LAHORE: Ajoka Theatre is set to present its critically acclaimed playLawrence in Lahoreon May 9 and 10 at Alhamra Hall 2.
Based on the littleknown exploits of British spy T.E. Lawrence in the subcontinent after World War I,Lawrence in Lahoreunveils hidden stories of espionage, colonial politics and the early struggles for freedom in South Asia.
Written by Shahid Nadeem and Fawzia Afzal Khan and adapted into a bilingual production, the play skillfully blends historical fact with fiction to offer fresh insights into the Great Game and its lastingimpact on the region.
The production brings to life key locations of Lahore`s colonial past, such as the historic Nedous Hotel and the Arab Hotel on Railway Road.
Through compelling storytelling, dynamic performances, archival footage, live music and dance,Lawrence in Lahorecreates a vibrant and thought-provoking theatrical experience.
