DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi on Monday accused the PTI-led government of failing to deliver on its promises and addressing critical issues plaguing the province.

Speaking to mediapersons on the second day of his visit here, he expressed concern about `worsening governance`, `corruption`, and a range of grievances affecting the people.

Mr Kundi said corruption was creeping into all departments, leading to administrative inefficiency.

He highlighted the ongoing challenges such as deteriorating law and order, with frequent terror attacks, kidnappings, and extortion incidents. The governor also raised concerns about the province`s poor road infrastructure and the lack of basic facilities in hospitals.

He also said the education sector was also suffering, noting that several universities were being run without vice-chancellors, depriving the youth of quality education.

He accused the provincial government of auctioning jobs and postings, and mentioned that the chief minister had even accused his own ministers of selling hospital gloves, further tarnishing the government`s image.

Kundi also said university pensioners were on the streets due to the government`s poor management.

He called on the provincial government to take pragmatic measures to address these pressing issues and work toward the socioeconomic development of the province.

The governor also touched upon the national security concerns, particularly following the recent blasts in North Waziristan.

He reiterated that Afghanistan`s territory was being used to orchestrate terrorism against Pakistan, asserting that 70 to 80 per cent of terrorism originated from across the border.

He accused India of attempting to cover up its internal failures by blaming Pakistan for terrorism.
