LAHORE, May 28: Robbers looted gold ornaments worth millions and injured a trader during a robbery at a jewel1er`s shop on Sagar Road in Cantonment on Monday afternoon.

North Cantonment police said four armed men entered Firdos Jewellers and started looting jewellery. When owner Naveed offered resistance, the suspects opened fire on him and fled. The injured was admitted to Services Hospital.

The police said the suspects fled while leaving one motorcycle behind.

The North Cantonment station house officer said the victim informed the police at the crime scene that robbers left empty-handed, but later he filed an application that the robbers made off with 2.5 kilo gold worth Rs9 million.
