LAHORE: The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has scheduled a month-long Iftar programme to mobilise party activists in the provincial metropolis.

Newly-appointed Lahore chapter president Azizur Rehman Chan issued the Iftar schedule saying the party will also observe June as the month of late Benazir Bhutto`s birth anniversary.

The Iftar on the first of Ramazan was given by Chan himself and a cake was also cut to mark the birth anniversary. One leader from each provincial assembly constituency will arrange Iftar for workers on his/her specified turn besides arranging the birthday ceremony.

Under the schedule, Aitzaz Ahsan will give Iftar on 14th and Naveed Chaudhry on 24th of Ramazan.
