Man seeks help to trace `missing` relatives

2015-07-29
PESHAWAR: A resident of Regi village on Tuesday demanded of the provincial government to help him trace his brother and nephew, who had been `missing` for the last four years.

Addressing a news conference at Peshawar Press Club, Fazl Wadood said that his brother Kiramatullah and nephew (Kiramatullah`s son) Israr were arrested by local police on July 21, 2011. He said that police raided their home and took them to undisclosed place.

On the second day of their arrest, Mr Wadood said, the then capital city police officer Liaquat Khan confirmed at a press conference that Kiramatullah and hisson were arrested along their weapons.

However, during proceeding in the court, the CCPO refuted arrest of both father and his son, Mr Wadood said. Since then no one knew about their whereabouts, he said.

`My brother was the sole bread earner of the family,` he said, adding since his disappearance his family was facing financial problems. He said that the entire family was in trouble and in continued mental agony since their arrest.

`If my brother is a criminal or involved in illegal activities then he should be produce before the court and let the judge decide about his fate,` he said. Bureau Report
