DERA MURAD JAMALI: Two people were killed and seven others injured in an armed attack by unidentified attackers on a tractor-trolley in the Kot Magsi area of Jhal Magsi district on Sunday.

Levies officials said the incident occurred when armed men riding motorcycles opened fire with automatic weapons on a tractortrolley carrying residents of JhalMangi.

They rushed to the site after receiving information about the attack and shifted the bodies and injured to the district hospital. The condition of three of the injured was stated to be serious, and they are expected to be shifted to Quetta for further treatment.

Later, the bodies were handed over to the families after medico-legal formalities. The attackers fled the scene after the assault.

Levies officials said the motive appears to be an old enmity, though an investigation is underway.
