The main rally was taken out from Peshawar Chowk to Martyrs` Square led by MPA Ziaulah Bangash.

Rallies were taken out in the border areas and Main Mandi Bazaar, which later joined the main rally in Ghalanai. The protesters gathered in front of the Mohmand Press Club, where speakers said Pakistan was not afraid of President Trump`s threats and that the new US policy was not acceptable to the tribal people. During the protest the main Peshawar-Bajaur Road remained blocked for an hour.

In Bajaur, tribesmen staged demonstrations in various areas to reject the US president`s threats against Pakistan and pledged to stand by the security forces in defending the country`s sovereignty. People from differentwalks of life participated in the anti-US demonstrations.

They claimed the US president`s Afghanistan policy was nothing else but to strengthen the Indian foothold in the war-torn country.

In Chitral, addressing a press conference, Jamaat-i-Islami provincial chief Mushtaq Ahmed Khan asked the government to act boldly on the threats hurled by the US president against Pakistan.

He said Pakistan was the most affected country in the so-called war on terror, which he argued, was in fact the war waged by the US against the Muslim world to secure its own interests.

The JI leader said the nation wanted the government to respond to the `do more` mantra of the USwith `no more`. In Lakki Marwat, two separate rallies were taken out in Lakki and Naurang towns to condemn the US president`s aggressive tone against Pakistan.

At the Naurang rally, the participants raised anti-US slogans and burnt ef figies of US President Trump and Indian Prime Minister Nerendra Modi.

The speakers said that the US president`s accusations against Pakistan for providing safe havens to terrorists were unfounded. The security forces and people of Pakistan have rendered great sacrifices in the war on terror just for the sake of ensuring sustainable peace in the entire region, they maintained.

They said the world had recognised such sacrinces and Pakistan`s vital role in rooting out the menace of terrorism. They said Pakistan had suffered more than any other country, but the United States had ignored these contributions.
