I HAVE been trying to get an appointment with the DHA administrator for the last one and a half months. First on telephone, his staff of ficer promised to make an appointment with the administrator and that he would inform me accordingly.
Nevertheless, whenever I rang him up to remind him, his personal assistant attended the call and informed me that he had placed my telephone number in front of the staf f of ficer`s table and he would himself ring me up.
But that was a ruse of the staf f of ficer.
Next I called the staf f of ficer personally in his office and requested for an appointment with the administrator.He checked my credentials and promised to give an appointment on telephone. But it was only a f alse promise as I haven`t heard from him even after a lapse of about a month.
I cannot comprehend as to why a genuine requesthas been treated so non-seriously. In the past, I had sought appointments with generals and chief secretary of a province; all of them received me with courtesy and helped me out.
The DHA administrator is holding a public of fice and the public is entitled to request for an appointment with him.
Generally, services of ficers are courteous and compassionate but this rude behaviour of the administrator and that of his staff of ficer is mindboggling, to say the least.
In civilised democracies, veterans are held in great esteem and highest degree of veneration.
