TAXILA: A ceremony was held at the Municipal Committee Boys High School Attock on Thursday to honour the top 24 position-holders in the secondary school examination (SSC) at the district and tehsil level.

Among girls, the top position in the district was earned by Anafaal Tanveer, a student of Govt High School Pindigheb, while in the arts group, Haleema Bibi of Govt Girls High School Shamsabad Hazro secured the top position. Among boys, in the science group, the top position was secured by Usman Shahfeeg, a student of Govt Boys School Mallal Tehsil Fatehjang, while in the arts group, Muhammad Togeer of Govt Boys High School Burj, Tehsil Fatehjang securedthe top position. In the science group, six male and six female students were awarded shields; similarly, in the arts group, six male and six female students were awarded shields.

Deputy Commissioner (DC) Attock Rao Atif Raza was the guest of honour at the ceremony for the position-holder students of the Matric Annual exams, where he presented appreciation certificates and shields to the first-position holders.

Addressing the students, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Attock Rao Atif Raza felicitated the position-holder students, their parents, and the teachers.

Mr Raza said the educated youth were the country`s asset, as they would lead it in the future. Correspondent
