SWABI, Nov 28: Police on Thursday destroyed a huge quantity of seized contrabands in Swabi.

The district and sessions judge had ordered police to destroy charas, heroin, opium and liquor seized in the district over the last few months.

In compliance with the order, police set fire to 650kg charas, 6.16kg heroin, 25g opium, 21 liquor bottles and 21 gallon of liquor on the outskirts of the district headquarters.

District police officer Sajjad Khan, judicial magistrate Arshad Ali Mehsud and other police officers attended the event. -Correspondent
