BAHAWALNAGAR: A man allegedly shot his wife dead for filing a case for dissolution of marriage in Chak 117, Chishtian, on Tuesday.
Saddar police claimed that Rukhsana was got married to Abdullah about a year ago but had been living with her parents for the last two months after developing differences with her husband.
Five days ago, she had hled a case in court for dissolution of marriage, which allegedlyenragedAbdullah.
He shot Rukhsana dead when she was working in a cotton field.
Saddar police handed over the body to family after medico-legal formalities.
