Ministers, opposition plan sit-in on Jan 12

QUETTA: Provincial ministers and opposition parties announced on Saturday that they would stage a sit-in in front of the Parliament House on Jan 12 in protest against the kidnapping of Arbab Zahir Kasi and the poor law and order situation in Balochistan.
At a press conference on Saturday, some ministers and political leaders said the decision to stage the protest in Islamabad was taken a multi-party conference held at the MPA hostel on Friday.
They said the government and opposition parties had decided to launch a joint struggle against unabated incidents of kidnapping as no-one doctors, traders, lawyers, professors and welloff people was safe from abductors.
Those present at the press conference were Minister for Law and Information Abdur Rahim Ziaratwal of PkMAP, Revenue Minister Jaffar Khan Mandokhel of PML-Q and Dr Jehanzeb Jamaldani of BNP-M, Rashid Nasar of ANP, Malik Sikandar of JUIFazl, Mehrab Baloch of the NP, Nasibullah Bazai of PMLN, Wahid Agha of JUIIdeological, Zahid Akhtar of JI, and Arbab Umar Kasi and Arbab Hashim Kasi of the Kasi tribe.
