When contacted, district nazim Said Ghulam questioned the legality of the opposition`s plan. He said the budget stood approved as the council passed it by a majority vote.

The nazim said the membership of a councillor was challenged in the court of law, while seats of two councillors were vacant so the house`s current strength was 85. He said the budget was approved by 43 votes i.e. a simple majority.
