GHALANAI: Two security men were martyred and another suffered injuries on Fridaywhenanimprovisedexplosive device (IED) planted at the roadside (IED) went of f in the Jarobi Dara area of Mohmand tribal district.

According to official sources, the device planted some 65km west of the district headquarters Ghalanai exploded when a bomb disposal party was passing through the area.An official of the district administration said the bomb disposal party was on routine patrol when the device exploded, killing Naib Subedar Shahzad of Kotli in Kashmir and Sepoy Mohammad Kaleem of Bagh in Kashmir. The injured was identified as Sepoy Mohsin Khan.

The bodies and the injured were shifted to the headquarter-IV AK Camp at Shamsi Toor Khel border area of Baizai tehsil.

After the incident, security forces conducted a search operation in the area but no arrest was reported till the filing of the report.
