2023-03-30
RAWALPINDI: Speaking philosophically and with deep emotion at the conclusion of his national broadcast, President Bhutto asked why, when the whole world was moving ahead in different fields, in Pakistan there should be negative thinking, fighting, tension, hate, and suspicion. He said the people did not want this negative approach.

They craved for ... a better tomorrow, a betterfuturefortheirchildren.

The people ... had reposed confidence in him and his party and he was determined for a change and was quite certain that these days would pass and `there will be a rainbow on the sky` which, he assured, the people of Pakistan they would partake of.

He asked why there should be negative attitude, a `Na Manzoor` to everything Constitution, Reforms, Bangladesh, India, settlement of disputes like Kashmir, issue of POWs. Why was there `No, No, No` on every matter. He said this negative approach was the product of illusions on which the people had been fed during the past. The leaders had not discharged their responsibilities in educating the people. In a choked voice ... Mr Bhutto said he was saying all this for the sake of Pakistan and it would mean nothing to him if he had to lay down his life for it. News agencies
