TOBA TEK SINGH: The wife and minor son of former federal education minister in the PML-N government Muhammad Baleeghur Rehman died while his elder son, a daughter and driver sustained critical injuries in an accident on the motorway near Gojra on Monday night.

The family was on way to Bahawalpur from Islamabad by a Prado jeep.

Motorway police said due to overspeeding the driver lost control over the steering as he tried to avoid a dog who suddenly appeared on the M-4, just a kilometre from Gojra.

As a result, Uzma Rehman, wife of Baleeghur Rehman, died while Samavia Rehman, 26, Waliur Rehman 16, Faseehur Rehman, 10, and driver Muhammad Saqib were shifted to the Gojra THQ Hospital with critical injuries.

The injured were later rushed to the Faisalabad Allied Hospital but Fasih expired on the way. — Correspondent
