KAR ACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah while presiding over 33rd Public Private Partnership Policy Board meeting approved three important projects Treatment Plant-IV, desalination plant and Korangi Link Road.

The waste-water treatment plant (TP) IV project includes establishment, operation and maintenance of a greenfield sewage treatment plant in Korangi to cater to flows from Shah Faisal, Landhi, Korangi and Malir Town.

Some 300 acres of land were earmarked for TP-IV.

Moreover, it was informed that KWSB is currently interested in pursuing the desalination project under PPP mode, whereby a 5MGD desalination plant utilising seawater reverse osmosis technology is to be established, primarily to meet water needs for Clifton and DHA areas.
