LAHORE: Newly-appointed Lahore Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Bilal Siddique Kamyana Friday met senior police officers and said that for him the role of the senior superintendents of police (SSPs) would be more important in maintaining law and order and controlling the crime.He said that policing is not just a job but a lifestyle so each and every police officer should spend his life on the provision of timely help and justice to the af fected segments of society.

He added that prompt registration of cases and investigation on merit would be the only solution to all the problems.Round the clock availability of SSPs and prompt response to incidents of crimes were the basic requirements of positive policing, he said.

The Lahore police chief further said that delay in the investigation of pending cases has been a major problem in the solution of public grievances. He said that timely redressal of complaints received from the IG Ofñce, front desks and CCPO Ofñce should also be ensured.

He directed the police officers to stay away from cases of illegal possession and meet the target of arresting proclaimed of fenders. Staf f Reporter
