LAKKI MARWAT: The district chapter of JUI-N (Nazryati) held a protest demonstration at Kargal Chowk in Lakki city on Sunday to condemn the US drone attack in Balochistan.

Led by party`s provincial deputy chief Mufti Mohammad Khan Haqqani the protesters, carrying banners and placards, gathered at the Bannu-Mianwali road and chanted slogans against the US.

A large contingent of police was deployed to deal with any untoward situation. The protesters condemned the US drone strike and termed it attack on Pakistan`s sovereignty.

On the occasion, Mufti Haqqani and Maulana Hidayatullah Chishti asked the federal government to severe diplomatic ties with the United States. They said that drone attacks on Pakistani soil were intolerable, asking the government to shoot down the US unmanned planes as and when they violated the air space of Pakistan.

They also asked the government to ask the US ambassador to leave the country following the drone attack in Balochistan.Correspondent
