UE holds fine arts theses exhibition at Alhamra

LAHORE: The University of Education`s (UE`s) Department of History, Arts, and Cultural Heritage organized the `theses display exhibition of fine arts students` at Alhamra Art Gallery on Monday.
A number of Chinese students and faculty members also showcased their artwork in the theses display exhibition.
UE Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Talat Naseer Pasha presided over the ceremony, while University of Home Economics ViceChancellor Prof Dr Kanwal Amin was the chief guest.
Dr Kiran Shahid Siddiqui, chairperson of the Department of History, Arts, and Cultural Heritage, briefed the participants about the exhibition.
Mr Pasha mentioned that organizing such an exhibition not only boosts the students` confidence but also provides valuablelearning opportunities for the visitors. He expressed that art is bringing the people of Pakistan and China closer, which is highly welcomed.
Ms Amin appreciated the inclusion of work by Chinese students alongside Pakistani students in the exhibition, and praised the deserving efforts.
EMERSON: The Emerson University of Multan`s (EUM`s) Department of Political Science and International Relations organised an exhibition of inventive and eco-friendly models designed by students to address environmental challenges.
Prof Usman Jan highlighted the significance of the initiative and emphasised the importance of providing a platform for students to showcase their talent and creativity.
Subsequently, an engaging series of student presentations unfolded, showcasing remarkable environmental models.
These models went beyondmere theoretical concepts and demonstrated practical applications, addressing various aspects of environmental challenges.
EUM Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Muhammad Ramzan acknowledged the students` efforts and praised their exceptional and innovative ideas.
He said that the green vision exhibited a glimpse into the future, as these young minds were contributing solutions to foster a greener and more environmentally conscious world.
BZU: The Bahauddin Zakariya University (BZU) awarded degrees to 200 graduates of the session 2019-23 at the Institute of Banking and Finance (IBF).
Dr Shoukat Malik, dean of the Faculty of Commerce and Business Administration, and IBF director, stated that the students from the faculty played an important role in the development of the country`s different institutions.
He mentioned that the faculty ensured merit-based admissionsand provided quality faculty members to teach the students.
He added that the faculty had graduated thousands of students over the past 10 years and had focused on character building and morality.
He expressed that companies would soon approach the new graduates to offer job opportunities.
BZU Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Muhammad Ali Shah assured that the administration would ensure permanent jobs for the IBF faculty.
He said the graduates should focus on working hard for the development of the country.
State Bank of Pakistan executive director Saleemullah said that they were offering a plan to give internship opportunities to the new graduates in their bank.
He said he would also request other banking industries to play their role and give job and internship opportunities to the graduates.
