PESHAWAR: One person was killed and over Rs3 million were looted when unidentified motorcyclists opened fire at a liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) station within the jurisdiction of Michni Gate police station on Thursday, police said.

Police said that six persons on three motorbikes opened fire at the LPG station and killed watchman, Amir, adding that the motorcyclists looted the amount and escaped.

`Senior officers are on the spot and specials teams have been formed. A case will be registered in a while,` a police officer told Dawn.

Locals in the area said that the incident took place around 3pm. They said the motorcyclists killed the watchman, snatched the amount and escaped. Bureau Report
