KARACHI, June 29: Rangers director general Major General Rizwan Akhtar has called on Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah and briefed him about measures being taken for improving law and order in Karachi.

According to a handout issued here on Saturday, theCM discussed law and order situation in the metropolis with the Rangers chief and asked him to continue indiscriminate targeted actions against criminals, hit men and anti-social elements.

Mr Shah directed him to utilise all resources for improvement of law and order in the metropolis and protec-tion of life and property of the citizens.

He also directed him to strengthen the system of snap checking and patrolling to curb the activities of criminals. The CM remarked that the provincial government had been pursuing a zero-tolerance policy for maintenance of peace.-APP
