LAHORE: Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of police retired Capt Sohail Chaudhry has ordered arrest of Harbanspura SHO Safdar Sajjad for implicating a citizen in a drug case after an inquiry report confirmed the allegations.

The inquiry was con-ducted by SSP Imran Kishwar on a complaint that the SHO picked up the complainant from the jurisdiction of Barki police, got Rs2 million bribe from him and then lodged a case of possessing one and a half 1(ilo of charas.

The DIG also warned other SHOs of similar actions if found involved in such illegal practices.
