Two terrorists killed in Duki, says ISPR

QUETTA: Security forces killed two terrorists and arrested two others during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) conducted in the Duki area of Balochistan, InterServices Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement issued on Sunday.

Security forces carried out the operation in Duki district, on the reported presence of terrorists belonging to `Fitna al Hindustan`, the state`s term for banned outfits operatinginBalochistan,suchasthe proscribed Balochistan Liberation Army.

In the operation, security forces effectively engaged the location of `Indian sponsored` terrorists.

Two of the terrorists were killed and as many apprehended, ISPR said, adding weapons, ammunition and explosives were also recovered from them.

`Sanitisation operation is being conducted to eliminate any remainingterroristin the area, as the security forces of Pakistan are determined to wipe out the menace of Indian-sponsored terrorism from the country, and reaffirm the nation`s unwavering resolve to bring the perpetrators of terrorism to justice,` themilitary`s media wing said.

Forces praised Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti has praised the security forces over the intelligencebased operation in Duki district.

In a statement issued late on Sunday, the chief minister described the successful operation as a testament to the professionalism, courage, and commitment of the security forces.

`This victory reflects the ability of our brave personnel to thwart every nefarious plot of the enemy,` the chief minister said.

Mr Bugti reiterated there was no room for terrorism on Balochistan`s soil and that state institutions were fully mobilised to eradicate this menace. He further stated that `militants backed by India` were attempting to disrupt peace in Balochistan and Pakistan, but the security forces were foiling their designs on every front.

Reaffirming the provincial government`s full support for law enforcement agencies, the chief minister said, `Our fight against terrorism will continue until this scourge is completely eliminated. The entire nation stands proud of our security forces, who are safeguarding the peace of our homeland through their immense sacrifices.
