PAKISTAN is one of the few countries that have majority population aged less than 30 years.Thefuture ofPakistanis wedded to the development of human resources through investments in social sectors, like education and health.Itis unfortunate that the state of education in Sindhis pathetic.
Nothing seems to move in Sindh because of the system that has been institutionalised under the ruling party. The blame for incompetence, financial misappropriation and substandard infrastructure cannot be put on anyone else. Only 58 per cent ofschoolsin Sindh offer clean drinking water to students compared to 100pc in Punjab, 89pc in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and 77pc in Gilgit-Baltistan (GB).
Similarly, only 31pc of schools in Sindh have electricity compared to 100pc in the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT), 99pc in Punjab, 86pc in KP and 58pc in GB. One can only hope that the ruling party in the province will some day set things right.
